"SERVING FROM ATLANTA GEORGIA "
Samarian was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. She lived there her entire childhood. Samarian, states "during this era, I had not seen nor heard of anyone around me or in my family becoming an Entrepreneur". She was raised in a typical household, where you're taught to go to school/college and get a good job afterwards. That's exactly what she attempted to do. Samarian attended a few different schools, such as beauty school and technical school to become a Medical Assistant. She would later return to get an Applied Science Associates Degree for Funeral Services.
Samarian was a victim of a crime and was stabbed in her left ventricle. She had 2 heart surgeries; October 7, 2004 and November 24, 2004. Between being hospitalized and rehabilitation, she spent more than a month in the hospital and, in a medically induced coma, literally fighting for her life. The doctors told her family "she'd be lucky, if she made it through the night". Samarian claims "I couldn't even imagine the pain her mom must of felt with this blow of news". Well, let's just say, “WON'T HE DO IT”!
During, this time Samarian would be so ashamed to wear clothing that exposed her new scar. It was her mom that encouraged her, " you have nothing to be ashamed of". "God allowed you to be saved and that scar is proof he's REAL"!
In 2019 Samarian wrote in a journal " the name Scars would be used for a clothing line or makeup line." It was in 2021 when she would tap into the beauty industry and utilize the name Scars (Spelled Scarz ) for her cosmetic line. Samarian defines the name as " Making a mark that cannot be erased". This is any mark, whether physical, mental, or emotional. "The fact is, everyone have experienced or will experience some sort of trauma". How you move pass that trauma is what's important.
Samarian, also suffers from Scarring, or Cicatricial Alopecia, a autoimmune disease that causes an inflammatory condition that destroys hair follicles, causing scarring and permanent hair loss.
"Although, I have had to overcome some shame, hurt, and trauma, I want to continue to inspire others by expressing it through my T-shirts & Apparel".
